Are dinosaurs related to global warming?

Image
What can dinosaurs from the past tell us about global warming in the future? Whether you believe in creation, evolution, or something else entirely, most people will tell you that they believe at one time dinosaurs existed. And that they became extinct. The theories around what caused this extinction vary, but the end result was the same: no more dinosaurs. What do extinct dinosaurs have to do with global warming? I’m glad you asked. For the time being, let’s just assume any theory brought up in this article is true while we are talking about it. I won’t be arguing for what theories are most plausible, I’m just looking for the common thread that could tie the extinction of dinosaurs to global warming. If this thread is true, it could also give insight to future events, as well as give insight to the true nature of the Earth as we know it. That’s a bold claim. For this article, I will only be talking about 2 commonly held theories about how the dinosaurs became extinct: asteroid and glo

Why do choppers use long pips?

Image
Some say long pips are cheating. Some say long pips are a waste of time. So why do almost all choppers utilize long pips on one side of their paddle? For this post, a “chopper” will be defined as a player who uses a downward stroke to impart backspin on the ball that they are sending back to their opponent a majority of the time. All players can chop, but I only considered players that chop at least roughly 50% of the time. So even defensive players who chop some of the time will not be considered unless they chop most of the time. I spent countless hours researching choppers. I have researched most of the top rated or highly regarded choppers to see their technique and equipment. I’ve looked at players in different eras, and different rankings, and even some amateur play. All of these choppers have different preference for brands, techniques, blades and rubbers, but almost all choppers above a certain skill level had one thing in common: they use(d) long pips. Choppers can largely be

How can you build a dog agility course for under $50?

Image
With just a little bit of effort, you can build your own quality dog agility equipment for a fraction of the price. Dog agility equipment comes in two varieties: crazy expensive or terrible quality. But the thought of making it yourself can be daunting. This easy-to-follow guide lays out all the steps, and all you have to do it buy, cut, and assemble. All of these pieces of equipment are able to be used indoor or outdoor, taken apart for transportation, and adjusted to preferred size of each owner. Alterations for specific use cases will be discussed at the end. Here is a link to official dog agility website for  course design guidelines . I can’t say that I follow these perfectly, but I did use them for some general guidelines. Feel free to alter your design to fit regulations exactly. It’s best to watch the video above to see the construction of the pieces, but below you will find the detailed lists with some suggestions. What you need The following is a breakdown of everything you n

Is Tim Tebow about to revolutionize the NFL?

Image
What do Tim Tebow and Steph Curry have in common? Sports has seen very few athletes with the kind of polarization Tim Tebow has. He seems to be either loved or hated, with very few people falling in between. For better or worse, it doesn't look like he will ever get a chance to prove his ability as a starting quarterback in the NFL. However, I think Tebow has the potential to revolutionize the entire league like Steph Curry did for the NBA. Let me explain. Extra point rule changes Most of this stems from the NFL moving the extra point kick back from the 2-yard line. Before this rule change, whether you were going for 2, or just kicking the extra point, you snapped the ball from the 2-yard line. This allowed for the ability for fake kicks to try and get 2 points, or an extremely low chance of missing the extra point when you do kick it. Even with moving the kick back, the conversion rate is still pretty high. However, you need to declare whether you are kicking the extra point or go

Why did Jon Snow come back to life?

Image
Yes, Jon Snow is alive. But why? The real answer may surprise you. The TV series is over, but HBO failed to answer the seminal question of the Game of Thrones series, "how is Jon Snow still alive?" There have been many theories as to why Jon Snow came back to life, but I believe my theory has the most likelihood of fitting within the Game of Thrones world. These theories only pertain to the TV show, not the books. I am also not concerned with making sure everyone's name is exactly correct, or direct quotes from the show. I am only concerned with getting my point across, so try not to get distracted in the weeds if I make a mistake or two. *SPOILER ALERT: do not read unless you have finished watching Season 6 of the Game of Thrones HBO series, or do not care about spoilers.* It has nothing to do with the Red Woman Before the Red Woman attempted to bring Jon Snow back to life, she admitted that she had never brought anybody back to life before, and that she could not

Where did the Interstellar wormhole come from?

Image
Was the wormhole's appearance good fortune or was it put there on purpose? The answer may be somewhat complicated... Interstellar is a very interesting movie. It does a good job visualizing some theoretical physics, and keeps really deep science talk mostly interesting. However, there is a major plot hole that seems to be lost in all the craziness going on in the movie. *SPOILER ALERT: If you haven't watched the movie yet, there will be spoilers from here on out. Also, if you haven't watched the movie yet, why are you here?* It all comes down to one question:  Where did the wormhole come from? Here is a very simple breakdown of the story: Earth is failing. A mysterious wormhole appeared near Saturn. The wormhole leads to a few potentially habitable planets. A group of astronauts goes through the wormhole to try and find a new habitable planet. They find a few planets that won't work. Cooper falls into a black hole. Cooper communicates a gravitational equation to his da
